Now that the 2025-2026 preliminary nominees have been announced, reader award committees need reader selectors to read and rate those preliminary nominees. Reader selector ratings are used to narrow down the preliminary nominee list into the final list that is shared in January. Students, librarians, and teachers can all be reader selectors. It is no longer necessary to sign up ahead of time. Instead, go to the Reader Awards Committee Involvement section of the MASL website (linked below) to find links for trackers and voting. This year there is a separate form for teachers or librarians to submit the rating form for multiple students for Show Me or Mark Twain reader selector students. Happy reading!
