Readers Awards Committees Involvement & Reader Selectors
Interested in getting involved with the Readers Award Committees as a Reader/Selector or one-year Committee member?
One-Year Members serve on the committees; reading more than 100 books over the course of the school year and narrow the titles down to a preliminary nominee list of 20-25 titles, as well as other duties. The form to sign up as a One Year Readers Awards Committee Member will be released each spring.
Reader/Selectors read the preliminary nominee list of 20-25 books between August and January and rate the books to determine which ones will be on the final list of nominees for the following school year. Forms to submit reader/selector ratings as a Missouri student or adult become available in late fall each year and are accessible via the MASL website and social media. All ratings are due by the 2nd Tuesday of January (at 11:59 p.m.).
