The Missouri Association of School Librarians and the Readers Awards Committees are pleased to announce the Preliminary Nominees for the 2027-2028 Readers Awards!

Publishers and authors have been notified that their titles are being considered for one of our Readers Awards. Dedicated reader selectors will begin reading these titles and will narrow them to a Final List of Nominees by mid-January 2027. All individuals are eligible to serve as a Reader/Selector.  Reader/Selector ballots will be sent to all MASL membership, and posted on MASL publications on or before December 15.

Missouri students who read the required number of titles for a specific award will then vote on those final nominees in March 2028. The winners of each Readers Award will be announced at the 2028 MASL Spring Conference.

We want to congratulate the authors, illustrators, and publishers of the nominated titles and ask our members to encourage their students to read and vote on these amazing books!
