Diversity: Creating an Inclusive Environment in the School Library
Please join us for one of MASL’s summer professional development workshops, Diversity: Creating an Inclusive Environment in the School Library, which will center on creating an inclusive environment in your school library by focusing on topics in literature and learning such as race, gender, religion, orientation, culture, and abilities. The workshop will also cover the awareness of concepts such as implicit bias, microaggression, and stereotypes. Participants will learn through interactive activities and discussions and receive tools and tips on how to better diversify their collections.
Members of MASL’s Board of Directors will be presenting this workshop in two locations. Workshops are scheduled from 9:00am to 3:00pm in the following locations, so register today for one near you!
